Emma Cattle Breaks British Record

Emma broke the British Record (which had stood since 2002) for the 50m Freestyle at last weekend's Disability Sport England National Short Course Championships in Sheffield. Dipping under 30 seconds with a time of 29.95 delighted Emma who competes in the S10 category.

She said afterwards "I really didn't expect that. Whilst my Freestyle's been going well I'm being treated for a shoulder injury at the moment so it was a real bonus"

Emma also retained her National Short Course title in the 100m Backstroke & took Silver in the 100m Freestyle adding "I was a bit frustrated having to pull out of both the Individual Medley swims because of my shoulder but the British Record helped make up for the disappointment !"
